The European Commission has designated European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) to Andalucía Agrotech DIH. This way it becomes part of a European ecosystem of excellence that promotes the digital transformation of SMEs.
This distinction will allow the recognition and internationalization of Andalusian digital innovation, as well as access to experience, knowledge and technology through the cooperation mechanisms established in this new ecosystem of excellence formed by the EDIH, which will be at the service of Andalusian SMEs to advance in their digital transformation.
The candidacy, promoted by the Andalusian Region Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development together with 26 partners from the agricultural sector, ICT, public administration and knowledge centers, includes as specific objectives:
> To be a reference DIH in the field of agrotechnology
> To improve the competitiveness of the Andalusian agri-food sector
> To connect all the resources for the digitalisation of the sector
> To promote valuable cooperation between agents in the ecosystem

Digital Innovation Hubs are one-stop-shops that help companies to become more competitive with regard to their business/production processes, products or services using digital technologies.
European Digital Innovation Hubs are the organisations which:
- have been designated by their country as candidate EDIH
- have submitted a proposal to the EU call
- have been evaluated above threshold
